‘Tunnels, Time Bars and Termination - Obrascon and its relevance in the UAE’
The next Society of Construction Law (SCL) (Gulf) event in Abu Dhabi will be on Monday, 23 November 2015, at 7pm.
Our speaker is Adrian Cole, a partner in King & Spalding in Abu Dhabi. He leads the firm’s Middle East Dispute Resolution Practice, and has huge experience of construction disputes in the UAE.
Adrian’s talk is on time bars and termination, looking at the recent English decision in Obrascon and considering how the principles in that case may be applied in construction arbitrations in the UAE.
This event will be chaired by Heather Nevin of Clyde & Co.
The venue is the Waterfront Suite, The Club, Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi (click for map).
Registration is from 6.30pm, for a 7pm start.
The event is free for SCL members - SCL membership can be obtained or renewed at the event for AED300, to 31st July 2016. (Full SCL(UK) members will be admitted free on presentation of their membership number.)
Refreshments will be available before and after, so please arrive early to allow time for registration.
